Solar Torches and the Great Outdoors

People who love going on outdoor trips increasingly prefer more durable and reliable solar torches on top of the other varieties. For those who take hunting and camping seriously, the introduction of the solar torch to the market is a welcome and positive change. Campers and hunters attest that other torches are more likely to fail and are bulkier than the more modern solar torches. Solar torches are a lot more convenient in planning trips or simply as an emergency tool that resides in the glove box of your car.

Solar torches mainly contain LEDs  which are are also able to offer better lighting compared to the other types. The light that they emit are purer and brighter, and are able to reach across greater distances. The strongest solar LED torch can illuminate objects that are as far as one mile away because its light beam is more concentrated. Traditional flashlights or torches can properly illuminate spaces and objects up close but are noticeably dimmer when focused on far objects. solar

Second, solar torches are a lot more efficient in expending power than conventional ones. An incandescent flashlight taken on a trip may require an extra set of batteries in case the ones already contained in the device fade or fail at an inconvenient time during your trip. A solar torch only uses five to ten percent of the power used by a comparable light, saving you time, stress, and money because these flashlights do not fade nor fail easily. In terms of its impact on the environment, solar torches are more environment-friendly since they do not use any batteries.

Weather conditions and accidents do not shatter solar torches as easily as those other types. Filaments can be burnt out as in  the other kinds of torches There is also a high likelihood that a drenched solar torch will still be able to emit light even if it was dunked into the water or suffered heavy rainful as most of them are sealed units.

A solar torch is also less bulky and thus it is easier to pack. It is also safer than propane lanterns and lighter than traditional lighting methods. Its small size can also provide more space for you to pack extra things that you might need during your trip.

Other types of torches and flashlights do not have the advantages above. To prevent your flashlight from failing you when you need it the most, replace it with solar torches as soon as you can is our recommendation.
